On the afternoon of July 17, the “Demonstration First, Guangdong Modification Innovation — Guangdong Vehicle Modification Seminar and Establishment of the Vehicle Modification Professional Committee” was successfully held at the headquarters of Dongjian Technology in Shunde, Foshan. Officials from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce and the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, representatives from industry chain leaders including Dongjian Technology, Tuhu Car Care, Yingdeer, and Guangdong Laotie, and over 50 member enterprise representatives gathered to witness the official establishment of the Vehicle Modification Professional Committee of the Guangdong Automobile Circulation Association and discuss new pathways for standardized and high-quality industry development. Currently, the domestic automotive market has entered an era of stock upgrading, with surging demand for personalized modifications, off-road upgrades, commercial vehicle customization, and new energy vehicle modifications. As a national pilot city for automotive circulation and consumption reform, Guangzhou provides a valuable policy window for Guangdong to build a benchmark for South China’s modification industry. Guangdong boasts a complete automotive industry chain, a vast consumer base, and a rich modification culture, yet the industry has long faced the dilemma of a “gray zone” characterized by missing standards and insufficient standardization.

At the meeting, the Provincial Department of Commerce emphasized that the Professional Committee is a key bridge between government and enterprises, and should focus on “expanding stores, increasing products, and optimizing services” as commercial priorities, with a development path of “government support, association coordination, and enterprise profitability.” Deputy Director Xie Haitao of the Municipal Commerce Bureau pointed out that Guangzhou’s modification scale ranks among the top nationwide, and personalized demand should be unleashed through tiered and classified management while strengthening independent brand building. The Chairman of Dongjian Technology, representing the lead committee member, shared three decades of experience as an A-share listed modification industry leader, proposing to promote industry transparency through the Professional Committee as a conduit. Yingdeer, Guangdong Laotie, and other enterprises also delivered thematic presentations from their respective market segments.

Subsequently, the President of the Guangdong Automobile Circulation Association announced the establishment of the Professional Committee and presented plaques to Dongjian Technology (lead member) and Tuhu Car Care and other deputy member units. During the research segment, enterprises engaged in in-depth discussions with government departments on hot topics such as modification compliance registration, new energy vehicle maintenance, and parts certification.
