On March 25, 2025, Zhongshan held its annual fireworks production safety emergency drill to enhance response capabilities, in line with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s directives on safety production. The exercise took place at a fireworks warehouse with coordinated participation from government departments, enterprises, and social forces.

Hosted by the Municipal Safety Committee, the drill was organized by public security, traffic, emergency management, fire, medical, supply, and three township governments, with Huajian Hazardous Transport Company as co-organizer. The scenario simulated fireworks falling during handling, igniting a fire that spread to a transport vehicle. Zhongshan Fireworks Company and Huajian immediately activated emergency plans, followed by a Level IV response from the township government. Rescue teams arrived quickly, carrying out firefighting, evacuation, and medical aid in a coordinated manner.

The drill showcased effective collaboration among government departments, enterprises, and social forces, tested the emergency plan’s practicality, and strengthened Huajian’s rapid response skills. By simulating a real incident, all participants improved coordination and built a solid “firewall” to safeguard public safety.
