Deepening Cooperation to Forge New Horizons: Metal Companies Collaborate with Shougang Kaisi and China Railway Construction Recycling Platform to Explore New Opportunities in Circular Materials

To further expand business cooperation opportunities and support the company’s in-depth layout in the circular materials sector, on March 18,2025, Zhou Zhiyong, Deputy General Manager of the Metal Company, along with representatives from Shougang Kexi Sales Department and China Railway Construction Circular Materials Platform East China Company, conducted an on-site inspection and exchange visit to the Zhangping Storage Base of China Railway 24th Bureau Fujian Branch. This inspection represents a significant step for the three parties to deepen cooperation and jointly explore new opportunities in the circular economy, as well as an active exploration by the company to promote the integration of steel trade and circular materials development.

At Zhangping Storage Base, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of storage facilities, material classification management systems, and material circulation processes, gaining detailed insights into the base’s practical experiences in recycling, sorting, processing, and reusing idle and waste materials. The base manager provided comprehensive explanations regarding current storage operation models, material flow patterns, and digital management systems. The three parties engaged in in-depth discussions focusing on enhancing material turnover efficiency, optimizing supply chain coordination, and advancing digital platform integration.

China Railway Construction Recycling Materials Platform, as an important vehicle for central enterprises to promote circular economy development, has established mature trading and service systems in multiple categories such as templates, profiles, safety protection, and scrap steel based on the “1363 Integrated Smart Supply Chain Platform”. During the exchange, the East China regional head of the platform detailed the operational model and cooperation mechanisms, particularly highlighting practical achievements in transaction matching, framework agreement collaborations, and platform ecosystem integration, providing a clear roadmap for in-depth cooperation among the three parties in the field of circular materials.

This exchange visit has not only broadened Metal Company’s business horizons in the circular materials sector, but also injected fresh momentum into building a collaborative industrial ecosystem characterized by multi-stakeholder synergy and mutual benefits. Moving forward, Metal Company will partner with the Group’s Recycling Company to uphold the principles of open cooperation and innovative development. By actively integrating into the national circular economy strategy, we will drive deeper integration between steel trade and green supply chains, thereby contributing to the Group’s high-quality development.
