From July 8 to 10, 2026, the 2026 China Used Car Conference, themed “Restructuring · Renewal,” was grandly held in Wuxi, Jiangsu. Thousands of representatives from leading used car enterprises, dealer groups, used car markets, internet platforms, and financial institutions from across the country gathered to discuss pathways for industry transformation. Gan Wei, General Manager of the Used Vehicle Division, was invited to attend and actively participated in cutting-edge industry exchanges.

The conference noted that from January to May 2026, national used car transaction volume reached 8.095 million units, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%. Particularly noteworthy is that the ratio of new car consumption to used car transactions in China has reached 1:1 for the first time.

The Director of Macroeconomic and Policy Research at the Economic Consulting Center of the State Information Center stated that in the era of stock economy, circulation and service enterprises closer to consumers will become the key to restarting economic cycles. The Vice President of the China Automobile Dealers Association proposed, under the theme of “Restructuring and Leapfrogging,” that trading markets should transform from “space landlords” to “physical empowerment platforms,” drawing on e-commerce operational thinking. Meanwhile, new energy vehicles and exports are the growth points for the used car market in the upcoming cycle. He concluded by offering four suggestions for mutual encouragement.

In the Used Car Export and Trading Market Development Forum, speakers directly addressed industry pain points, sharing macro-level industry assessments and practical transformation experiences around core topics including compliance recommendations, overseas services, risk protection, service iteration, and new media traffic generation. They explored breakthrough strategies and injected new ideas for industry development.
